thanks for stopping by, yeah we are trying to get as much growing as we can manage in the area without it becoming a totally overgrown jungle though. Its a fine line to be sure...

we can't do cherries and plums and other stone fruit due to the fruit fly that LOVE them. Yet to see what they do to the citrus fruits. I need to keep them small in case i have to net them.
i would love an orchard here. My folks have a big property with HUNDREDS of trees... they just give it all away. Alas, our family home is in another country and i can't get there. Free fruit always sounds amazing to me.

We have a wheelbarrow, but our back garden is down a step into the pool area so i need a ramp to do it. Which i do sometimes. But i still have to lift the jolly soil in and out of the car and barrow so sometimes i really just carry it too... need the exercise. Ha Ha

anyway, citrus is pretty easy a place to start though, lemons and limes are pretty good...
