As time goes on, I find myself utilizing Facebook less and less for various reasons. For starters, I was watching myself become more and more obsessed with arguing with friends & strangers alike over nonsense. Never a good thing. So I made a conscious effort to cut that shit out as I didn’t like who I was becoming on my (at the time) most used social media outlet.
I’m not going to blame that on FB entirely as I’m an adult and should be smart enough to scroll past the idiotic comments or posts. But I’m also not letting them off the hook so easily. For FB knows what I like and dislike, and they constantly feed my dumbass what they wanted me to see. Very savvy FB…
So over the past year or so, I’ve made great strides in cutting my time spent there as I simply found myself leaving irritated and unhappy. “Why would I constantly do that to myself”, I wondered? So, these days I use it for business, to connect specifically with friends and family that are sadly only on that, and to link to some pieces that I write here. This my friends…is where my beef lies with them.
For the third straight time in mere weeks, the tech giant has removed my post stating that it “Goes against community standards, spam, or security breaches”.
The only real horror I see here is the fact that I spelled “write”, wrong. Stupid fat fingers…
Regardless of my poor rushed spelling in the Veve Group, once again I find myself having a post with content linking back to the Hive Blockchain…removed for violating their terms. Three times now this has happened recently and I think it’s total nonsense.
My favorite aspect of this comes to the point where I have to click through the supposed violation. Then it gives me the option to Accept or Disagree with their decision. When I click on the Disagree button, I’m told that they are short staffed and cannot look at my issue individually…so I basically just have to Accept that I indeed violated Facebook’s terms…scumbags.
Has anyone else found this same problem if posting there with links to a piece on Hive? I can’t remember exactly as I wasn’t initially paying attention until a pattern started to emerge, but maybe it has to do with posting in Groups on FB? This particular piece was removed and it was in one of the dumb Veve groups. I know I had one of my art pieces yanked and that was in a Comic Art Group. I can’t remember if the third was posted in a group or not…maybe that has something to do with it?!?
Either way, seems like a shit move that when I link to Hive in some fashion, it gets yanked. Thoughts?!?
