Christians and their talents.
Luke 19:11-26.
Can you think of something you feel you can do very well. Every one has something he can do very well. There are some that can sing very well, while others can teach and some can preach very well. This has to do with spiritual things.Even in non-spiritual things, we see people who are talented in certain areas examples are instrumentalists, play footballers, star athletes, outstanding student, etc.
Using talents is very important; when a talent is not used then is buried. A person who can sing well should endeavour to practice and sing, otherwise he will find it difficult to continue singing well. Practice, they say makes perfect.
God has given each of us some gifts and special abilities, he also expects us to use them faithfully to serve Him and our fellow human beings. When we do not use our talents,the talents would be dormant . We all have been given the equal chance, time and the means just to live for Christ and serveHim by our words and deeds, as well as In prayer, by act of kindness and many other ways.
Importantly, the more we use our talents for God's work, the more He will bless and multiple them. We should not blame our disobedience on others or God, as the unfaithful servant did, when in the real sense he was simply lazy.
God with his infinite mercy will guide us on how to use our talents and abilities in the best way possible. In this way we can witness about Christ with our lives. Thus,This should not prevent us from using our mouths to tell others about Christ,knowing that he that wins a soul is wise.
In conclusion, God has given us talents and abilities to use for the purpose of blessing others and also in helping them when they are in need. He also wants us to be witnesses for Him. He is looking for people He will trust to do their parts in the kingdom responsibility.
