Greetings brothers and friends,

In our life there are many things that must die, for example pride, hatred, lies, temptations that in one way or another can make us fall into sin. These are things that, although we are clear that they must die, many times we continue to feed it.

Everything that feeds, grows and strengthens. When we feed a baby, it grows stronger and there comes a time when he can fend for himself.

When we feed those things that make us sin, we are strengthening that in our lives, and there will come a time when that can dominate our lives and it will be very difficult to get rid of them.

For example, a gossipy person, we know that this does not please God, the person wants to end the gossip in his life, but nevertheless he continues to frequent the group that gives him gossip, or those people that she knows that make him fall more in gossip. This person says he wants to get the gossip out of his life, but makes no effort to change his life. He does not strive to end the gossip, but feeds him.

2 Timothy 2:22.

22 So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.

A person can feed the sin daily, for example a liar person, he can build his lie days before, he plans it, to deceive the people around him but God sees his heart and sees how that person is feeding the lie day by day .

Psalm 36:4.

4 He plots trouble while on his bed;
he sets himself in a way that is not good;
he does not reject evil.

Everything that feeds sin is kept in the heart, and then we say that they are temptations that we cannot overcome, but if our heart is cleansed of bad things, it would be easier to escape sin.

Proverbs 4:23

23 Keep your heart with all vigilance,
for from it flow the springs of life.

Proverbs 6:14

14 with perverted heart devises evil,
continually sowing discord;

All temptations come from what we keep in the heart, because if we do not keep gossip in the heart, we will not be tempted to fall into gossip, if we do not lie, we will not be tempted to lie, if we don't think of adultery, we will not be tempted to adulterate.

James 1:14-16.

14 But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. 15 Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death. 16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers.

A person who does not feed sooner or later dies from malnutrition. That is what we must do with what can make us fall into sin. If we don't feed those things, they will die sooner or later, and our hearts will be cleansed.

Do not feed hatred, pride, resentment, lies, infidelity, lust, pornography, greed, selfishness, jealousy ... in short, everything that can separate you from the presence of God.

Galatians 5:19-21.

19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, 21 envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
