Let's confess: most of us are here to get rewarded for the content we are publishing.
But this platform is crap. Contrary to other social networks, number of subscribers means nothing here. I've got from 0 to 500 followers, yet amount of votes hasn't increase at all (unless I'm using tricks like steemfollower, etc).
Same regarding rewards. Unless I'm involving voting bots, my posts don't earn even 1$, doesn't matter how original they are and HOW MANY VOTES THEY RECEIVED. Yes, amount of votes also means nothing since 99% of active platform users are minnows and their votes cost zero, including my vote.

It seems whales, who are supposed to curate quality content, are too busy to vote their own posts. I can't explain otherwise an absolutely mediocre content of same people day after day in the trending list.

An average steemer spends tens or hundreds of hours investing in posting on Steemit and finds himself with $250 in the wallet a year later.

Is it really worth it?
