I love a good upbeat song a one that makes you be happy to be alive. Don't get me wrong, I do like my sad melancholy songs as well but a good upbeat song can really get you in a good mood. I am listening to alot of Leon Bridges lately and I do love a track called Smooth Sailing from him. It's really funky and Leon is just blessed with talent.

How would you describe this song. Maybe upbeat rhythm and blues. It is a song I would happily wake up to every morning. There is a smell of summer , optimism and smooth sailin off this track. I love it.

Lazy Sunday by The Small Faces
I have looked for this song for years as I didn't know who it was by and the time was before any Shazam was around. So a few years ago I was at Liverpool and Arsenal in Anfield. It was a weird experience because I nearly loathe one more than the other. So I went to the famous club called the Cavern where the Beatles rose to fame. And some guy on a guitar started playing it. After the gig I asked the guy who sung that song and he told me the Faces. I searched for the Faces which was the band that Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood but nothing and then the father told me there was a band called the Small Faces.
"Ahhhh I see said the blind man but he didn't see at all"
Looked up the Small Faces. Boom. Added to my playlist. Now it's not the best song in the world. It's kind of a cockney jingle. But the bloody chorus is brilliant. The whole Cavern were singing it. Beatles Who!! The video of this song is fairly funny. Steve Marriot , Britain's most underrated rock star fights with a granny who complains about the loudness of his music. Actually fights with her!!! hahahah. I'd say they were all a bunch of mad bastards. The ending is very Beatlesy as well. It's probably why it was played in the Cavern Club. I went on a Beatles Cab Tour before the match and visited the grave of Elenor Rigby and visited Strawberry fields. It was class.

Time To Run Lord Huron
I'm a big fan of the small bands until they turn big. I saw Mumford & Son in some kip in Dublin when there were 50 people at them and they knocked me out. Then when they made it I a sort of believed the secret was out so I moved onto some other band. The Lumineers and Lord Huron were next and I always had a soft spot for both as I was into them back when I moved to Spain and Germany where I lived the rock n roll life for a few years.
You can't beat a bit Lord Huron. My favourite one of their songs is Time to Run because it just starts upbeat and continues that way. Some would call it an upbeat love song but aren't they all about love. I do like the lead singers jumper shirt combo.
So that completes my 3 tunes for this week. I actually really liked this weeks one. Reminiscing.
