I did a mad thing just now. I decided to myself that Kane was staying and he wasn't in my fantasy league team. So off I went and switched my whole team around to get Kane and Haaland in the team together which means I have a shitty enough midfield now. But it didn't matter as I have watched all the Spurs friendlies this year and a Kane under a Ange regime would be a revelation. In the friendly last Sunday against Shakhtar Donetsk, Kane reveled in this new attacking style and hammered in 4 goals easy peezy. He can hardly feck off to Bayern now. The season is going to be amazing. Spurs then sent their B team to play A team Barcelona and played them off the pitch until the last 15 minutes where fitness was lacking. Another look into the future under big Ange. Barcelona could not handle Spurs especially Bissouma who was immense. Even Skipp scored 2 goals in this system. 1 more than he scored last season. So here I was looking at my Fantasy League team and a rush of blood came to my head. HES STAYYYINNNNNNGGGGG as I pressed the transfer button and kicked Nunez off my team.

Around ten seconds after I chose Kane I received a message from my Irish friend who works in a bar in where do you think? Munich. Here is the message.

By the way we called each other Jeff for the last 20 years over our love for Sky Sports ex pundit Jeff Stelling and it has just become a thing with us. His name is not Jeff or either is mine. But anyway , a message from german Jeff saying Kane is gone was not what I wanted to hear today. Apparently now all they are waiting for is Kane's camp to agree and Harry is a Munich player. I have to say I am very disappointed but what a player he is. I am disappointed but in a way I am glad he will win a trophy for someone for sure next season but it will be a lower level league. This pretty much guarentees Munich the league again next season. They had an abyssmal season last season and still won the bloody league. So Harry will finally get what he wants and still have a Spurs legacy unlike Sol Judist Campbell.
Sources have not been confirmed yet but if Kane has actually gone it is all because I changed my FPL team this morning. Has to be. Normally when David Ornstein calls it , it is true though.

Anyway onto the piece I wanted to write before I was rudely interrupted by my friend telling me the bad news. I first heard about Ange when a Celtic friend of mine was going mad that they appointed this Australian guy to take over his beloved team. After a few weeks he was still not happy as results were not great. After 10 weeks he was a converted man and told me to watch Celtic take on the mighty Madrid in the Champions League. Celtic played some stuff in the first half going in at 0-0. Their style was attacking and it looked like they did not care who they were playing. I was impressed. Now the game ended 3- nil but it put Ange on the map for me. Fast forward to taking over at Tottenham and he clearly has the same approach shouting at the team to attack attack attack, In training he has his own take on Bielsa's murder ball as everytime the ball goes out of play another ball is thrown back in. He went mad at the players when they tried to play out the remaining 10 minutes versus Shakhtar as they sat back and tried to play until half time and this is the time that the opposition equalised so Ange was not a happy camper. Kane 😥 finished the Ukrainian's off then with 3 more goals in the second half. The Barcelona match was also a good chance to see the change in style as we basically played the Spanish giants off the park for the guts of 70 minutes only to run out of steam near the end. Dier and Reguilan with mistakes here. Two players that will not get a sniff of first team football ever again I imagine.
On the downside Tottenhams preparation was not ideal as games were postponed due to weather and the constant transfer saga over Harry is really hampering the camp to stay focused. If the deal is done two days before the season starts then it is really bad for everyone involved as how can you plan attacking formations when your number 1 world class forward has his eye for the door. The good news is that Richarlison looked good in the first two friendlys before picking up a knock before the Barcelona game. He was not firing on all cylinders during this game and wonderkid Dwayne Scarlett looked more dangerous when he came on. Alot lies on the shoulders of Richy if Kane is to go but he should be used to it being Brazil's first choice number 9.

Maddison and Los Celso look good so it will be interesting how Ange rotates these two players or could he even play both. The other interesting area is the wing backs in Porro and Udogee. Does he play one or both on the opening day. Many experts are saying he can't play both as they will leave the Centre Halves wide open but it is not beyond the realms of possibility. The more mature analysis is he plays Udogee and Emerson Royal who is a more natural defender and leave Udogee run riot.
The other dilemma he has is to whether throw our new centre Halve into the mix VDV, VDV offers the speed Ange needs to play his system. Dier was caught out last week because of his speed but we now have too speedy central defenders in our squad. Romero , VDV and our old friend big Dav. Davison Sanchez had a great game against Barcelona, so much so that I am wondering whether there is a future for the player as a back up. He's faster than Lenglet and Dier so why not. Ange could really coach this guy into a top class centre half. I always liked big Dav and was very upset when the Spurs fans booed him off the pitch last year. The player was always committed to Spurs and was low on confidence. Let's hope this performance against Barcelona will give him the confidence needed to push on now.

So as I sit here wondering if Kane is gone, I am excited for Tottenham this year. Everyone is writing them off. If we lose Harry people are saying we will finish bottom half of the table. I do not think this is the case. Maybe we will surprise people. Maybe the team can transition into being constant pressers with Kane gone because lets be honest, he is gone past his pressing stage so a young striker keen to win the ball back up the field could fit into the Ange system better. Richarlison is a much better presser than Kane and he looked good in preseason pressing hard up the pitch. Whatever the way it will be a rollercoaster and I am quite happy to jump on.
