YEAR OF THE DOG 2018
The Dog is the eleventh animal of the Chinese zodiac, the Dog is the symbol of loyalty and honesty.
The Chinese Zodiac consists of a 12-year cycle of animals-
Each year is related to a Chinese zodiac animal according to the 12-year cycle.
Years of the Dog include 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, 2018, and 2030...
The Year of the Dog = Fortune, Luck, Career, Health, and Love Prospects.
The DOG Represents Fortune –
My storey about the Dog/canine – growing up I never personally owned a dog, however I always found them fascinating, and remember enjoying playing with them, but I didn’t really want to own a dog, for reasons such as smell, hair etc, and the responsibility of looking after one, then about 20 years ago, I read a book by Linda Goodman, called - Star Signs
The following is the excerpt from the book Star Signs –
GOD as DOG
Why should it be that God (or god) spelt backwards is Dog? It’s not just a coincidence.
Unless they’re severely beaten, starved, or fall victim to rabies, dogs demonstrate the closest thing to “god-love” that humans can experience.
No matter how much a dog is ignored or neglected or sharply spoken to, no matter how often you forget to feed or water him or her when there are other things on your mind, your dog is still there, gazing at you adoringly, eyes brimming over with pure love.
No matter how badly a dog is treated he or she is ready to protect you, defend you, and love you.
The wells of understanding and compassion are fathoms deep. A dog forgives and forgives… endlessly nothing you do, short of violent repeated beatings will kill a dog’s undying love for and loyalty to both master or mistress.
A Dog is not only your best friend but also the best example you’ll ever have of what love is all about.
Lucky for me in late 2005, 12 years ago, my parents were given a 6 month old Shar-pei, from a family member who had been mistreating and neglecting it, at first my parents who were not dog lovers, were somewhat reluctant to take on this responsibility, however it didn’t take us long to grow very fond of this Dog whose name, by the way, was Chyna or China.
Sadly Chyna passed away on the 27/12/2017 and I have to admit she will be missed, thinking back over the last 12 years having this canine addition to the family was truly a blessing that I will be forever grateful for – I understand now what Linda Goodman meant when she said the Dog is the best example you’ll ever have of what love is all about.
Year of the Dog 2018 will be a special year for those enlightened enough to be on the steemit platform –
