RE: Mathematical Ramblings
Hi, it's been months since I've last log in, I hope you're still active. I have a couple of questions about Kyoto U, I tried searching your name in Discord, but it seems like I need your DiscordTag for

RE: Mathematical Ramblings
Hey, that's cool. Did you ever meet Mochizuki (the abc-conjecture guy)? I thought I can just learn Japanese along the way. Anyway, I don't really know how hard it is to qualify for these institutions though,

RE: The Infinity Cheese
I wish I live in the same universe where such physics holds. I could enjoy me some infinite cheese slices.

RE: Mathematical Ramblings
I'm actually looking out for opportunities to do my PhD abroad, and Japan is at the top of my list. I'm specifically on the look out for Kyoto university, seems like they have the best Math guys around

RE: One step at a time | Going to graduate school
The National Institute of Physics in UPD has a research group called SanD. If you like physics and computing, I think you should take a look at them.

RE: Lamentations in a Sanatorium
Hmm, I guess you're right. It might have been better to center this whole article about countability and uncountability, but obviously, at some point, I got carried away with injections and bijections

RE: Lamentations in a Sanatorium
What do you mean different infinite settings? Do you mean climbing up the 'infinity' ladder by taking power sets of infinite sets? Anyway, I was reluctant on using countables and uncountables because I

RE: The Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetic, Its Implications, and Some cryptography
To be honest, I'm not very confident in my knowledge of cryptography. The only books that I've read that are actually related to the topic are books on Elliptic Curves.

RE: Why Mathematics-- and my first Steemit post.
Thanks, my undergraduate degree was actually in physics, I left it for pure maths because I liked proofs more than spidery computations and number crunching.

It's part of FToA, without the uniqueness of the factors. This piece is quite hard to write since I kind of had to hand-wave that part here. I did went on without explaining why prime divisors always exist,

It'd be really nice if the site can support LaTeX, it was quite hard to do all of that typesetting without it-- took me a lot of time and it still doesn't look good.

Well, I think people just generally have a bad experience with numbers during their younger years, perhaps due to a bad teacher, but I think most people can appreciate maths.
