This piece explores the mindset of one of the fictional characters that I created for this concept album. As the character fell into darkness to avenge those that he lost, the very memories of who he used to be began to fragment.
In the beginning, the longing Oboe is used to carry the melody and tell the tale of sadness. Halfway through the piece falls into ethereal string textures that create a web of sound that obscures a true sense of structure; this is to be symbolic of the memories fading away.
