Time in the garden was so fun the last two months I couldn't wait to tell you all about it in the #gardenjounual.
The big news is that we got a licence for growing hemp, so we made another garden.
We鈥檝e been kind of busy watching it grow.馃樆馃崁
We planted strain Tiborszallasi, which is one of a few strains allowed to grow in Slovenia.
We started planting about two weeks ago.
We planted vegetables, herbs and flowers as well, for protection of the garden and beautiful colors and smells that attract bees.馃尭馃尰馃悵
Along hemp I've planted pumpkins, corn, sunflowers, onions, garlic, turnip, kohlrabi, beetroot and many herbs and flowers.
I've planted a line of corn and sunflowers at the bottom of the garden for wind protection.
I've planted an old variety of Bosnian garlic, that I got as a gift from a dear friend. Looks like it likes the new home.馃槍
Around the garden we planted Red Clover (Trifolium pratense) and Alfalfa (Medicago sativa). They will help enrich the soil and make the space around the garden attractive to bees.
As the seeds sprouted out wildly, we are able to take out a nice bouquet every day.
We use them in salads, smoothies, sauces, tea and syrup.
While gardening we are gifted with a stunning view.
Beneath the garden is a flowering meadow full of secrets and gifts.
We are blessed with a fresh shadow of an old pear tree.
As I was recovering in the shadow, as they did for generations before, I've noticed a rustling sound of leaves from the bushes and I've met this beautiful spirit.
European green lizards are an endangered species and can be observed in unurbanized remote places.
Many snakes are protecting the garden.
The other garden is also growing nicely.
We are already harvesting onions, carrots, leeks, peas, salads, radishes, spinach, strawberries and may herbs.
As we had a lot of rain this spring, the herbs look really happy.
Mari膷ka always helps me preparing food.
Last month our cherry tree flowered with a beautiful white shine.
The trees we planted in last two years, also looks happy.
Surprisingly, the fig we planted in the fall has already started to produce some fruits.
In the last few days, many flowers started blooming.
