Not me smiling ear to ear as I went through this piece aloud. I’m currently back at my parent’s and two nights ago, I craved to hear my mom tell me a moonlight tale in the Igbo dialect (it has always been my favorite because of the singing that comes in the middle of the story 😂)
The response I got from my mom was that “are you a baby?” This jest was taken lightly by both of us as well as my dad who happened to be listening to the conversation.
I miss the act so much that once in a while I imagine myself being told a story to calm my troubled thoughts. I hope I get to learn more stories and remember them when I begin to procreate, lol
Thank you samostically@samostically for helping me relive this childhood memory 🙏😊
