"And that's a wrap for me", Diana said to herself as she hung her wall clock in the sitting room of the apartment she just moved into. Exhausted from the hassle of moving, she plunged into the comfy couch behind her.

"Next up, an early dinner", she said lifting her tilted head to check out what time it was. The time piece on the wall seemed to have stopped functioning. Sitting up and rising to her feet, she reaches out for the clock to check the battery place.

"I think it's dead. I'll just have to get another set of batteries on my way back from dinner", she thought to herself. She was too tired to make herself a meal plus, the kitchen wasn't in a proper state to cook. She still had quite some things to do but all of that will wait for tomorrow as scheduled.

Pulling up her purse from the cute table in front of her, she grabs her card and automated house key, shuts the door and made her way to a café-cum-restaurant up front. After a fulfilling meal, she orders a cup of latte coffee and a small dessert as she enjoyed the melo music coming from within the café since she sat right outside.

"Where is that convenient store I glanced at earlier?", she quizzed as she made way to get the batteries for her wall clock. Luckily, the store was still open but they had no batteries in stock. Desperate to get those batteries, she finds a junk store where she asked for some batteries but instead got offered a vintage time piece. It wasn't expensive and it looked durable so she bought it in place of batteries.

Taking it into her house, she gives it a little more shine with soapy water and a cleaning towel. Hanging it in place of the nonfunctional clock, she shrugged at it's fine working ability. Moments later, she took her bath, did her night routine and switched off the light. "I will be up, bright and early tomorrow to get to work", she lifted her fighting spirit with those words.

The vintage time piece

Four hours later, it was midnight. Dark and creepy. She rose to take a piss in the bathroom. Walking up to the wash basin after peeing, she saw a scary reflection on the mirror behind her. Startled and swinging round, she didn't see anything. She looks at herself in the mirror, thinking it was probably her imagination.
Leaving the bathroom, she makes her way to her bed. Sitting in front of the tall standing mirror, she checks her temperature with the back of her palm. To ascertain if she was fine or what she saw earlier was real. Again, a scary image pops up in the mirror, jerking her to look back. Still, there wasn't a thing behind her, neither was the reflection showing in the mirror.

Then the lights twitched. It does it again and again. Diana panicked to the light switch to check it. Then it stopped. Then it began again, this time more than before and she raced down to her living room. After she must have regained herself and strengthen her faith with the Bible on the side table of her couch, she tried to watch something with the hope of falling asleep again. Then she noticed the clock, ticking backwards. She tried to reset the anticlockwise moment of the clock's hand but minutes later, her attention when back there and it was still moving anticlockwise.

This marveled her but that attention was drifted to the twitching lights again. This time, the TV program stood still. It wasn't because of loss of connection or anything, it just stopped. Then it switched itself off and so did the lights.

Cold shivers trailed down Diana's spine as she with trembling hands, reached for her mobile to turn on the flashlight but as soon as the phone's screen light came on to her face, she came face to face with a scary, deadly, bloodthirsty ghost with no eyes and a mischievous grin on it's tattered pale lips. Diana was still as a statue, cold as glacier ice and scared as a chicken.

She desperately wanted to pass out but at the brink of that, she saw another ghost appear from the wall clock she hung on the wall. It then dawned on her that she had brought in doom with her. Another ghost came in, then another one, till they were a handful circling her. "We have come for your soul", they kept chanting.

The wishes on Diana's mind were a cry of help to the heavens. She desperately wanted to be saved from all these but fear had engulfed her mind too much to restrain any thought of swift action to flee from this...
