INDEPENDANCE DAY.
In the light of International Affairs, 14th August, 1947 signifies not only an epoch making day, but as well dispels the myth of western Nationalism defined by ethnic parochialism or limited by territorial or geophysical separatism. In fact the historic day signals the sigular recognition of the reality that the Muslims are a nation according to any difinition of Nation, possessing all the characteristic/distinctive features of religio- political entity.

It virtually introduces revolutionary changes in the history of political thoughts by jeopardising the very structure of the postulate of Nationalism adherently followed by tbe western states.
The Father of the Nation, Quide-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah vehemently pronounces in unequivocal terms that " The Muslims are a nation by any definition of nation and they must have their homeland, their territory and their state". Hence, they possess every right to create Pakistan, a homeland of their own, where they would be free 'to develop to the fullest' their spiritual cultural, economic, social and political life in a way they think best and in consonance with their own ideals and according to their own genius. Evincing his assertion in his Presidential address of 1940 Lahore Session of Muslim League, he proclaims that the Muslims Constitute a distinct nation not because they profess a distinct Divine Code of Life but, because they follow a different and distinct social order and hence represent a unique and distinguished civilization. Thus Two Nations Theory won recognition as universal truth by the verdic of the British statesmen who legalized " The Great Divine" under their 3rd June Plan.
The Great Abandon as characterised by Mr Gandhi's support to C.R Formula was nothing but the acceptance of the demand of Pakistan and hence the validity of Two Nations Theory.
