Simply put they won't give us control because they need to have control. This seems to be the reason that jumps out at me as I read all the articles condemning the advent of a centralized digital currency.

The central bank making the decision to issue and utilize digital currency would aid global trade between countries making the process as simple as the click of a button but as simple as that would be the "putting the foot down" response of some central banks officials may be the final response on the topic.

Why this response? well think about it, the volatility of the coin is no cover-up or conspiracy, none-the-less we cant see why with volatility attached from everything from oil to foreign exchange but is the volatility of digital currency even greater?

This volatility means that the stability of such currencies can wreak havoc on the financial system as the market will respond and with digital currency, the market can respond swiftly and unpredictably with the click of a mouse.

I am thinking there may be validity in the response of the central banks. What about you?
