True enough. I used to raise goats. Saanins and Nubians. Did you know that these two breeds produce nearly as much milk as a holstein cow?

Then again, if you live in an area where kudzu grows, or other such weeds that grow fast and are hard to control, having goats is an excellent way for controlling invasive plant species and, yeah, if you let them over-graze, they can wreck the area due to the fact they'll eventually eat it down to the root. Sheep will, too.

There are places, however, that will hire goats herds to clean up brush and undergrowth in areas that are high-risk for bad fires. And they're very good at it.
