In real life, there are treatments to reduce histamine reactions by giving minor exposures and building up a body's tolerance. For some instances, this actually will work well to prevent a person from having a life-threatening reaction to something. But it has to be done gradually. Since most histamine reactions are due to incorrect reactions by one's immune system thinking it's under attack when it's not.
