Sounds like she found a piece of radioactive uranium that's no longer used in a nuclear plant. The half-life of those is, well, measured in millenia rather than decades. Wraithvine's right. As long as they can keep away infection, and the radiation burns and heat didn't completely wreck the hand and vessels, Gikka SHOULD be able to keep that hand, but, poor dear, I doubt she'll have full use of it. Depending on how good Wraithvine is with that sort of thing.
