My cats fully trust me. They lay still and purr even when I trim their claws. And then I just sit and pet them and cuddle them, and let them nap in my lap while the glue of the claw caps hardens. Again, the claw caps only last a few months, but they're perfect while introducing a new cat into the household. If they can't hurt each other, adaptation occurs more quickly.
