Sad but true fact, there are A LOT of dead bodies on Mt. Everest. If the body is not easily accessible, or in a place where it can easily be brought down, many who die going up that mountain's slopes... are just left there.
There are some spots where there are so many bodies, that they just use those bodies as markers as to where someone is on the mountain. Also, because of how many try to climb every year, with a lot of them being tourists, there is a ton of trash that is just ditched there and the sherpas and locals have to deal with it all. And SO many flags now pinned to the top of the peak it's actually a major hazard for the few areas of wildlife in that region, and trip-hazards for climbers.
