I love this. Can you imagine a story of where kobolds and others "unwanted races" - blarg at that phrase - went out to others of their kind to teach them better defense and better healing, so adventurers, looters, and black magic body-snatchers end up having a hell of a lot harder time harming them? And, maybe, people start learning that it's safer, and more profitable, to work together as allies than as enemies?
