True, but coming down hard on a child who was only trying to be nice to others can backfire severely. Make the child afraid to go by others for fear of accidentally hurting them. Especially if told their very bodies are poison. An impressionable child can develop the mindset that they must stay away from others and become withdrawn. I know from experience.
