Poor kid. All they wanted to do was be nice to people and are getting punished for it. I do hope, at least, they taught the child that there's nothing wrong with kindness, but they have to be careful even when being kind, to avoid accidentally hurting people unintentionally. I can almost hear that poor child's heart breaking when they realize they hurt someone by mistake. It can make a child afraid to do things for people, and afraid to go near others, lest they hurt them again.
