This reminds me of a knormia at the local park who threw a fit when I wouldn't let her "little darlings" pet the dog I was puppy-sitting. A rescue dog that was being fostered. They were being wild and loud, dog was scared, so I said no they couldn't pet it. I didn't want them to get bit. Other kids had pet it, but carefully slowly, letting it sniff first and only giving a few slow pats before walking away. The knormia basically was mad other kids did and I wasn't letting her wild brats do so. But had I let them, the knormia would've had an even BIGGER fit when they got bit. The foster's now in a forever home, a lot gentler, though it still gets startled by loud noises, it doesn't snap anymore, but it will tuck tail and whimper, poor dear. Still has a long road ahead of it.
