LOL This sounds like me and my husband. I buy a few extra items to make sure we have spares, he gripes about waste of money, suddenly we're out of items and I get the spares out, and he huffs that "Well, we'll get more later."
Though what really bugs me is when he starts digging in my emergency prep area to get things for dinner when he knows full well those nonperishables are for emergency use. He knows I rotate the stock, but I always buy extra first before rotating out the older stock. More than once he's emptied the emergency use closet on me and, during blizzards where it's not safe to get to the store, I go to grab something out of there so we can eat, it's already empty. He doesn't listen. It's why I padlock it now. He used to gripe, now he uses it as his reminder of "this is emergencies only, and to be rotated only once a month".
