Man, that sounds like MY stomach! In the mornings, most mornings, I can't eat right away. If I try, I get stomach cramps and get sick to my stomach, it's not fun. I have to wait until it signals it's ready for food. I can sometimes have liquids before then, but solids? Forget it. I have to be careful when trying new foods because if my stomach decides it doesn't like the new food, it'll go on instant rebellion and, well, the food doesn't stay. Sometimes, even when it's empty, my stomach will suddenly go full rebellion and I'll be "praying to the porcelain goddess" with nothing but dry heaves for seemingly no reason. It happens constantly. And trust me, THAT hurts, a lot. I've gotten used to it, admittedly. Been like this since I was very young due to a genetic disorder. It's also misshapen so that doesn't help. But that's ok. When I go to Ren Fairs, I only take tiny portions of foods so I can taste more things before my stomach starts to remind me that it hates me.
So I can understand Human Roi's pain. Because that's pretty much the thing I live with, without the ulcers. Though it does make it easier to say NO to foods I don't like, because my stomach doesn't like them, either.
