If you've friends that are allergic to bee stings, but still want to have an apiary, stingless bees are ideal.
While some do have small stingers, most stingless bees there have absolutely no stingers, and both types are incapable of stinging by way of defense or being able to harm a human. While some varieties can still be dangerous, albeit not to humans, most would likely not even bother a level 4 havenworlder. And, the most amusing point? The most harmless of stingless bees of all? Can be found in that weird and wonderful place known as Australia. YEP! That land down under where absolutely everything, including the environment and weather, is out to kill you, and yet these bees aren't.
