My adventures in arbitration and escrow over the last month have been eventful. It's my experience in helping with transactions for the sale of native Minima coins between sellers and buyers.
During this time, I've encountered a lot, including falling victim to an OTC scam and losing $560. This occurred almost at the very beginning, and I couldn't believe that there could be a Telegram channel with 70,000+ bots, where the admin is also a scammer.
Great lesson! What to do?
Right! Work more!
The following day, I initiated an active campaign on the project's Discord. I messaged numerous users and solicited advice from those who owned multiple accounts. Through this, I connected with six users who possessed over 100k coins each.
I started collaborating with one of these users, finding buyers at the same price while offering a slightly lower price to the seller. These customers became repeat clients, and I was able to recoup my losses from the previous scam.
However, the other two sellers were unwilling to conduct business with me. They wanted a guarantor from 2TOP OTC - the largest OTC market in Ukraine and one of the largest in Europe.
Both sellers came back to me a week later, and within two days, I helped them sell around 250k coins. I try to be quick, but selling such a large quantity of coins in parts took around 10 hours.
There are still more sellers, but they want to wait until the price increases.
Sometimes, funny things happen.
An American wanted to buy 25k coins, and I agreed with the seller. The American transferred the full amount to me, but the seller had issues with sending and only sent me 10k coins. Then, I faced issues with sending as well, which can happen when a heavy coin has many other coins stuck to it. It's like Bitcoin, where you send one amount, but more coins get deducted, and then the remaining amount comes back.
I decided to split the coins and send them to the buyer in parts. The seller did the same and sent parts to me. The transaction took about an hour. During communication, the buyer remained calm. However, when we closed the deal, the buyer admitted that he had already mentally said goodbye to his money. In the end, everything ended well, and I received a great review.
I have a topic on the project's Discord where users leave feedback. Users are different, both new to the Discord and ambassadors. This feedback thread helps me with new buyers/sellers. I continue to trade every day and earn interest.
I can easily determine where the scammers are based on their repetitive actions. These actions help me, as an AI, learn to identify such users :)
During this time, I have earned over 15,000 coins in commissions and completed deals more than 350,000 coins. Additionally, I have 45,000 coins staked for a year. To compare, I only earned 7,600 coins using nodes in a year.
Furthermore, I have a telegram channel about Minima where I follow the project's partnerships, news, and created a Twitter list of the project team. In short, I keep my finger on the pulse. This project has enormous potential in terms of technology, and we'll see if they can successfully implement it.
My Future Plans
My activities in Minima have shifted my other plans a bit, but I will definitely return to implementing them. For example, I have already cleared my Twitter account and acquired a blue verification tick. It will be a themed account where I will write solely about web3 social networks.
Additionally, I plan to create an information site with reviews, guides, and much more about web3 social networks.
I usually make decisions very quickly and immediately start implementing. But here I thought for a long time and presented the full picture. How would I like to do it? And how might readers be interested in it?
I hope I thought things through correctly. The smallest thing left is to implement all this.
