The book of Jeremiah talks about the prophet Jeremiah that originated from the tribe of Benjamin which they are known for being strong and mighty.
Chapter 1
In Verse 1-3. This particular chapter started with the Introduction for us to understand who Jeremiah is and the track record of who his father is as stated that his father is of Hilkiah.
In Verse 4-10. The Lord was telling Jeremiah about how he has knew him even before he was formed in his mother womb. How he has been chosen even before he was born and known by his parents. Even though Jeremiah was trying to express his fear to God that he is young to carry out the assignment God is placing in his hands. God was assuring him that he is not young and that he will put His words in his mouth so that he can speak that which God want him to speak.
In Verse 11- 20. God was telling Jeremiah of what is to come and telling him that he will carry out all his plans. God was telling Jeremiah of what is about to happen in Jerusalem and not only that but also what he will say to them. God was assuring Jeremiah that even though they might fight him, he should be rest assured that they will surely fail as God is and will always be with him.
Chapter 2.
In Verse 1-5. The Lord was trying to tell Jeremiah about the case of Isrea iniquity before Him. It comprises of another message he recieved and which he must tell them. The people of Jerusalem who when at one time that they were in hardship and bondage, they always remember God but now they have forsaken God. There was a time Isreal was eager to please God and now it seems it does not look like that.
In Verse 5-13. It is still astonishing how fast the people of Israel have forsaken God and turn to foreign gods. They have given Themselves to Idols and self lust instead of God. They always go after pleasing their selves desire instead of pleasing God Desire and this even includes their prophets. They have done a great evil which is abandoning God which is the fountain of river.
In Verse 14-22. The result of Isreal sinful acts is they have turned themselves to slaves and have been denied that which they should have access to or to the promise of God.
In Verse 23-37. Isreal has been portrayed in those verses as an unfaithful wife who is not faithful to her husband but going around other gods or husband according to that context due to being drawn away by lust. Not only that, Isreal was described as a thief. Even the children have refused discipline no matter the correction God has given to them.
Chapter 3
In Verse 1-5. God was trying to tell Jeremiah how far the people of Isrealite has really gone far away from God and how they have gone so much deep in the practice of Adultery. They use the ground that God will always hear them no matter what to still continue in sin which should not be so.
In Verse 6-10. Even after God still thought the people of the Isrealite will return back to him but they don't. In fact the people of the Judah has copy the same template and has become treacherous. Judah saw that their younger sister which is isrealite is been faithless and they have copy her shoe. Instead Judah has just pretended to be sorry before God but truly they are not sorry.
In Verse 11-25. This point out to show the fact that God is still waiting for isrealite to return if only they will return to him. He is waiting for them. The issue is they don't want to return but God is still waiting for his beloved to return to him and that was his heart cry all around the verse.
