Ist Peter shared the same similarities with 1st Timothy as they both are letters written to the church just that the difference is the one of Timothy is from Paul to Timothy and the book of Peter is from Peter to the church. A lot was also addressed in the book and it is quite astonishing to see the way it was committed to addressing a lot of vital issues in the church that we are facing right now and it is key to address that actually.

Peter helps in strengthening grace and providing hope for those who feel hopeless. Peter was the first to bring the gospel of Christ to the Jews and so there was a need for the gospel to be sustained in the heart of men as it is very important also.

Major Themes in the book;

(1). God the Father, the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

(2). The Nature of our salvation.

(3). Life in God's Family as a Spiritual Nation.

(4). Suffering and Persecution.

Chapter 1.

In Verse 1-2. Peter was writing this letter to foreigners who are not dwelling in the city where he was dwelling also. Peter was pointing to us that God has known us even before we know ourselves.

In Verse 3-12. Peter was trying to tell us that we should always protect our inheritance in God no matter what. He was trying to tell us that even though we face hard time, we should still continue to keep going in the faith of God no matter what may comes to it.

In Verse 13-25. And that is why we should prepare for ourselves and exercise self control. He said we should strive to live holy no matter what may come. We should always remember that God pay a Ransom for us to be alive and we should not take it for granted as it is key for our living no matter what.
