First of all ... I would like to apply as part of this initiative of being a HIVE Community Lead for Malaysia. I would never consider myself as the leader of the community as I strongly believe that the community needs to act as one voice and there should not be a hierarchy within the community.
I'm however extremely passionate in growing the HIVE Community here in Malaysia and most of the current members consists of content creators from all walks of life.
I'm !!! And me and a team of amazing individuals have been promoting and talking about STEEM over the past few years which we have now mostly transition over to the HIVE network.
Growing communities has been an on-going passion which I've been doing even prior to getting fully involved in this blockchain. One of the communities which I've grown was a collaborative community drive for business owners initiated by Google.

When I discovered STEEM, I realized that this "social blockchain" would not be able to grow without users and what better was then to start growing a community within Malaysia itself and let it ride from there.
The community grew pretty rapidly as we organized event after event and thanks to support and encouragement from the STEEM community at that time, I managed to travel all around the country to continuously grow the community and also get help from many other community members who wanted to give a helping hand.
I was able to get speaking engagement at so many different locations around the country just to be able to talk and share with people about creating content on the blockchain.

From business group meetups, to women entrepreneurship events to baby products expo ( yes i know it was a weird event to get invited to ) and even at Rotary clubs.

By getting involved in the blockchain space here in Malaysia, I've also started speaking at blockchain events all around the country in regards to STEEM.
One of the most memorable moments was when we were able to organize an entire conference called Borneo Blockchain Summit which was attended by 250 people and we had the Deputy Minister of Education to give the keynote address.

Ironically as HIVE came to live, it was a time where the world was on lockdown therefore the only way to talk about HIVE and to promote was mostly done thru talks and discussions over video conference.
I've done several talks and discussions about HIVE from the confines of my home as in Malaysia there was a movement control order which was in effect. One of these discussion was with Daniel Cerventus who is also the organizer of TEDx Kuala Lumpur and a close buddy of mine.
One of the goals for HIVE is to continuously grow the community with the following activities which I've done many many times before
To be able to support the entire community better and also run more initiatives which is able to incentify the community to get more of their circle of friends to join in as well.
i will ..
Thanks and cheers for the opportunity !
