New Curators

Congratulations on new curators which has joined us this week. Every month all curators are reviewed based on how much post they submitted and what their Approval Rating. At bare minimum, to remain as a curator they would require to have at least 8 post submitted with over 60% AR. Failing to do so, they would be removed from the curators list and requires a recommendation from Top Curators to get in once again.

Updated Guidelines for Curator Recommendations - Apr 1st

Only curators with AR >=80 and top 4 highest CS (i.e. the top tier) will be able to recommend new curators.
If the new curator can maintain a CS => 1 for any 4 weeks over a period of 6 weeks from the week of recommendation, the recommender will receive a 100 Steem reward for each curator recommended. In these six weeks, the new curator can have two weeks without CS; however if they have a CS it must exceed 1 for all weeks. If the new curator can maintain AR >=90 and a top curator spot for 4 consecutive weeks within the first 6 weeks, the recommender will receive a 500 Steem recommendation fee.
There's a limit of 1 new curator recommendation per week, who will start off with 5 submissions per week.
The new curator recommended must be a bonafide and engaged member of the Steem community. (I.e. no sockpuppets, nepotism etc.)
Top curators may develop their own process for selection and mentoring, and can use #curie to solicit applications for curators. Once you'd like to recommend someone please post in #general curie and inform bitrocker2020. Once the new curator is verified by a reviewer, they'll be added to the platform.
Reviewers and curators with a direct follow can also recommend curators without needing to maintain a CS.
If a reviewer recommends a new curator, a different reviewer must review the submissions.

Direct curator guidelines - Apr 1st

Curator's activity and the direct follow percentage will be assessed at the end of each month
Curation score determines the percentage of direct follow. As of now, minimum of 200 CS gives the baseline 5% follow, 500 CS equals 10%. This may vary over time.
Curators with direct follow can continue to submit posts and improve their CS which means the percentage of the following vote will be upgraded
Curators with direct follow are permanent top curators with unlimited submissions, but they have to maintain minimum AR required, otherwise the submission limit drops to 15. They will have to regain the top curator spot to stay there long term.
The requirements for direct follow will vary over time and increase with every 2 curators who match it. For example, if 2 curators earn the direct follow with 200 CS requirement, it might increase to 250. Which makes it a competition of who gets there first.
Reviewers, if required, will be selected by existing reviewers with priority for those with highest CS

How to Apply As a Curie Curator ?

There is no application form, however each top curator would have their own way in recommending curators. So these are tips on what you could do to get your recommendation

Goto our discord channel https://discord.gg/RPhWKet and make friends first
Get to know the curators
Request for a recommendation if they do get to the top curator slot. Sometimes it takes weeks or even months or even never. Then all you have to do is to go back to point (1)

What else can I do in the meantime to support @curie

As ongoing efforts to retain curie as top witness, we encourage you to continuously vote @curie as a witness so that we can continue to support this curation project.
