I thought this would make a good article to list out some of my thoughts on LeoThreads and the next evolution of it Project blank as well as get some of your own ideas and feedback. Consider it a brainstorm of users, all of this is simply constructive feedback based on my own opinions and usage of the platform so far.
If you haven't used it yet I highly recommend checking out LeoThreads Consider it like twitter but on a web3 application on Hive. It's the first beta version of what Project blank will become.
A better way to read notifications of those who comment on a post so I can follow up with them more easily. This will create number more dialog between people as I've been seeing a real lack in comment to comment interaction.
Images need some work and to fit within the form so they are fully visible. When clicked it should simply expand it in a light box and not take you to a new page.
Faster updates on Like and comment visuals. Right now I've found myself liking a comment or thread and it still shows 0 and gray as if I didn't click on it when really I did. This often lasts minutes or requires a hard refresh.
No more hard refreshes! In order to see comments, likes and comments within comments I'm constantly refreshing the page. A HUGE no no
Less clicking to view all comments and comments on other comments. This creates a very click happy and messy function and in general is just REALLY BAD for user experience. I understand the want for ad revenue but if it's a pain in the butt to us something it wont matter.
Project blank is what should be coming after scaling and major issues are fixed within LeoThreads. This is said to be a stand alone project with its own token, features and work on top of Hive as a fully twitter like web3 version.
Ad revenue, paid spot - The token needs to generate demand and value. The two simplest ways to do that are through ad revenue generated by the platform that is then injected into the value of the native token and also a way for people to use the native token and pay for a paid post that randomly shows up every few normal threaded posts. This also creates buy pressure on the token to be able to come in and run these ads.
When I vote on a post on Project blank it should NOT use any of my Hive voting power and instead ONLY use the native token for project blank. If it uses Hive personally I'll either need a new hive account or I would honestly most likely not vote as much on the platform.
Very fast load times which means every post, comment etc might not really need to be added into the hive blockchain. Honestly most of the posts are going to be garbage junk and well of course spam. There's no reason to be logging all of that unless there's a reason why people think there should be? Comments, likes etc all need to show near instant in order to make for a good user experience.
Mobile Friendly - Most people will be using Project Blank on their phone as a app. Optimizing everything should be focused on that first. A great mobile friendly version will most likely result in a great desktop experience as well because of the simplicity of it and faster load times needed for mobile.
