Web 2 Is Being Phased Out

Make no mistake about it web 2 is out and web 3 is moving in. However these changes don't happen over right but they are happening at a more rapid pace. When you think about the evolution of the internet from 1990's and how long it took for us to go from static websites to things like Facebook and twitter it was 15 or so years for that all to happen.

Web 2 saw it's glory days and with it the clear abuse of powers these companies started to show. From stealing your info, getting hacked and releasing all your personal data to selling your data while abusing you with shadow bans, flat out bans and other garbage the general population has gotten tired of it and with it a new vision is taking shape in the form of what is becoming known as web3.

There's no definite answer as to what web3 is. It ranges from full decentralization (which don't think is possible) to the metaverse. I believe all of these things are part of web3 but the biggest part of it to me when we really hit full web 3 is when content creators start getting paid again for their work.

Imagine for a moment you as a content creator or even a everyday user you write posts, take photos etc and place them on your timeline to share with others. But then Facebook or another application says if you pay us we will show your post to more of your followers and maybe a few extras.

So wait...

I now created all the content and engagement on your platform which is what makes your platform and I get asked to pay you more money.. Something seems seriously jacked up about this relationship.

Queue Web3

Now imagine for a moment you spend time, maybe even pay money to help create all of this content and you publish it. Thus increasing engagement and content for the platform but now you actully get some of the revenue yourself for the time and effort you put into creating that content. That to me sounds like a much better system and one we are moving towards.
Now of course with rewards will always come the bots, spammers and scammers but as a community this is something we should be able to battle against and it's going to be a battle make no mistake about that.

This future is clear and it will take 3-7 years for it to start to really take foot. Right now you are on the ground floor of web3 and what is to become. It's exciting and opens up massive possibilities in terms of investment, restoring freedoms and overall just helping shape what the future will look like.

Developers are now leaving these web2 applications in droves and heading over to build on web3. Make no mistake about it you will see these changes happen much faster then changes in the past. What used to be a slow system of fiat, slow information transfer etc is now a fast paced system. Money moves happen in seconds across the world instead of days or even weeks. The internet is faster than ever, developers are trained and many out of jobs looking for new places to go. This transition will be quick so be ready for it.
