The XRP Lawsuit Big Changes Coming Forward
XRP has been in a multi year battle with the SEC who continues to overstep and try to be more oppressive. It's one of the worst arms of the government that is now outreaching and removing freedoms from people which are critical. However in the USA the courts are the ones the uphold the law and are meant to keep the government in check. It seems like that's finally the case here with some new updates coming from the SEC lawsuit and XRP.
While I don't invest in XRP because of all the craziness around it I still commend those who do and support the battle as it seems the government as a endless pocket and people that we pay our taxes to for them to attack us in ways such as this. It's super counter productive to freedoms of people sadly and is only getting worse.
The New Ruling
Magistrate Judge Netburn denies SEC's attorney-client privilege motion. As stated "The Hypocrisy in arguing to the Court, on the one hand, that the Speech is not relevant to the market's understanding of how or whether the SEC will regulate cryptocurrency, and on the other hand, that Hinman sought and obtained legal advice from SEC counsel in drafting his Speech suggests that the SEC is adopting its litigation positions to further its desired goal, and not out of a faithful allegiance to the law.
Mainly what the hinman document is a document that shows SEC William Hinman selling his Ethereum assets as not a security transaction while the SEC has been stating all along it is a security which is how they will get their hands into regulation of the asset.
This battle is likely to continue on for years but it could outline how crypto is regulated in the future and what the SEC is legally by law and freedoms of it's people allowed to do. This is why a court case like this which is trying to protect the freedoms of people and limit the oversight of government is actully critical.
