SEC Stay Out Self Governance Needs Work

It's no surprise the the SEC continues to try to get involved with crypto and regulate it. Now 5+ years later we still have no clear regulations from them and just random battles that make no sense and the SEC continues to lose. It's become increasing clear that the SEC has no idea what they are doing and instead of helping investors as they are built to do continue to just create havoc and do insider trading themselves and become a money fuel for the government and the attorneys they hire under them.

Insider trading is a big issue I would support the SEC looking into that and proving these things take place. However they need to stop only attacking crypto and instead start looking at politicians who pass the laws and know that when they pass a law a stock price is either going to skyrocket or fall. Personally if you're in any position of power to pass laws you should not be allowed to trade stocks would be one of the best things the SEC could actully pass. Will they? Nope, the SEC is hung up on old times and are sluggish across the board.

You see the SEC has become nothing more then a place for the united states government to keep and train thousands of lawyers. These people are suppose to protect investors but all we ever see now is the SEC sit and wait until something becomes big enough to then take action and collection millions if not billions of dollars while investors are left with nothing. This arm of the government is also supported by tax payers. Yep, talk about the biggest money grab by the government ever!

Decentralized and Self Regulated

Now I will go saying there are clear issues with crypto where insider trading does happen, pump and dumps, scams, hacks and more with little to no accountability. It's plagued the crypto world for a decade and only gets larger and more of an issue as the market cap grows.

However it's clear that the SEC has no clear cut rules besides keeping things confusing so they can continue to cash in. Thus the crypto world needs to step up and start building a truly decentralized system but also one that is self regulated by the masses. It does need a way to counter hacks, rug pulls and other negatives in the industry. One of the biggest ways I feel to do this is to focus more on votes that are easy to do and clear to all holders but also DPOS systems much like Hive has.

With a DPOS you remain in control of your core assets and makes the decision if you want to delegate your stake to someone else or use it to vote on a project. This type of system is one of the best I have seen that combats many issues that are currently taking place in crypto. Yes, it still has it's downfalls such as a majority of people don't understand the voting of witnesses, any real idea what witnesses or projects do and so on so that needs to be worked on and I firmly believe that a voted entity needs to have some type of progress report detailing what they are doing on the platform to bring value even if it's as simple as securing the network.

This type of system (while not yet perfect) is one of the best stepping stones to get away from the corrupt SEC and start giving powers back to crypto which really are the final way to keep governments in check from over stepping which they have aggressively been doing since 2001.

What are you thoughts? Will crypto ever be able to figure this out or will aggressive and confusing SEC regulations start destroying it?
