Just because something has zero transaction fees or low transaction fees does not make it better. The reason people don't care all that much about paying high fees on Ethereum (which honestly when you compare it to traditional banking it's still far faster and far less expensive) is because Ethereum has a massive userbase. Paying $30 to tap into this massive userbase is an easy sell.
I don't see HIVE pushing over $10 or even getting to that point any time soon. Not unless more applications are built on it that draw in some power users and more engagement. When you look at engagement numbers on this platform compared to many others they are seriously small. We all need to seriously work on onboarding more people but then also showing them how to use these platforms.
If HIVE was really awesome and better you wouldn't have CUBDeFi tapping into BNB and you wouldn't have big games like Splinterlands reaching out to wax, brave ect. They do this because they need more reach.
