The hard fork was a bit of a turn-off for me, though I blame that squarely on the BCH ABC faction. I guess BCH is just struggling to carve out a space for itself in an area basically already defined by LTC. That isn't to say that it's doing a bad job, I think it's way AHEAD of LTC in terms of value transacted, yet falling behind in other ways.
I expect to see many similar battles fought between coins in different areas of the cryptoverse. On the other hand, as adoption grows, so it will enable more coins to survive. Interesting to watch, but I still feel the need to consolidate further.
