Why will God listen to idol worshippers in the first place? They have chosen idol worshippers as their gods so why will he still listen to them?
Let us read 2 Corinthians 6:14-16 of the Bible which says;
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
This practically tells us that God has little or no relationship with idol worshippers. There should ne no relationship with people who are holy and those who are unholy because the unholy ones are infidels.
If someone can decide to worship idols, it means that the person has neglected God, the one who created us and has decided to choos other gods made by wooden items as his or her god so there will be no need for such person to request something from God and there will be no need for God to listen to such person as well.
Well, God always gives us a chance to repent because He is the God who forgives us of our wrongdoings so if any idol worshipper can decide to be a Christian and get baptized and follow the ways of Christ, God will surely accept such person back in His house and He will begin to listen to that person again.
God forgives but we as humans should also never try to worship idols because there is practically nothing we can benefit from it.
