Mycelic Slipspawn's FORCEFIELD HELPED ME WIN THIS BATTLE ALONG WITH PELACOR MERCENARY's speed, which helps Shavi miss Pelacor Merc @ the end.
Pelacor Mercenary is a BEAST!
Going up against a level 3 summoner for the first time, and having Noxious Fumes and Blast as the Rule Sets for this imparticular SILVER battle, I knew I needed Speed and High Health. I didn't realize until researching for this article, that cleanse can be a good counter for poison.

Higher HP and Cleanse are the best choice. However there may be some cases where you go for a big offensive attack and wipe out your opponent before the poison becomes a factor.
Right before our match, there was a reminder of the attacking order of importance
- Speed
- Attacking Style - Magic is fastest, Archery 2nd fastest, & Mele 3rd fastest
- Rarity of the card, and finally
- Level of the Card
I was going to go with Forgotten One, from the Fire Splinter who has Immunity vs Poison, but my Tarsa isn't leveled up yet, & obviously neither is my Forgotten One, so I went with The Water Splinter, as it is my favorite Splinter. I was going to put in Grund but his health is too low. Instead I decided to go with Pelacor Mercenary Level 4, because of his speed. Pelacor helped Mycelic Slipspawn win the match for me with a great miss because of his high speed returning at the end! Pelacor performed well in this 2nd position for me. I thought when my Regal Peryton was taken out I was done for...

Upon further review and watching in super slow motion, I was able to break down the battle better. Shavi was a blast machine in the beginning,for my opponent HEIMDAL and he had Creeping Ooze,slowing my speed down. Slowed Speed is shown on the card with The Purple @ Symbol, and will also subtract your speed in red on the # of each card) and stay red until Creeping Ooze is gone, at which point it then adds 1 speed back & turns green! If your monster only has 1 speed like my Fungus Fiend, the speed symbol will stay blue, because you cant go to 0 speed)
But because MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN HAS FORCEFIELD, SANDWORM ONLY GOT 1 MELE DAMAGE INSTEAD OF 5

Mycelic Slipspawn was first found on the edges of the swamps of Praetoria, in areas where the fetid waters meet with the forests and jungles. It is highly toxic and grows to a substantial size. Death is uncommon for those who touch its fibrous body, however,the side effects of its toxins can cause a long list of illnesses and disease, leaving its victims severely debilitated.
When the Chaos Portal opened and the Creeping Plague infected the land, the Slipspawn struggled to endure, being completely intolerant to the deadly pandemic. But then Queen Mycelia came, she touched the Slipspawn as she passed it by and it drank from her power, an enduring energy that ran deep and defiantly cast the pestilence of the Chaos Taint aside. The Slipspawn pulled its roots free from the ground and eagerly danced across the leafy forest floor after her, desperate to follow its saviour and stand by her in the times to come.
