The asapers was a good thing. It definitely gave people more visibility. When I was engaging with Asapers I enjoyed being part of that community. I was careful to upvote and comment on content from the post promo and share others quality parts of the discord and from the newsletters if I felt that it was good content, but also to upvote and comment on other people 's content outside of Asapers as well as I didn't want to neglect others and only upvote people within a group I was in, as I don't agree with ONLY upvoting people within a group regardless of group, but it was a good group and I found some interesting posts through it that I may not have found otherwise. The asapers was good and while I was careful to engage with other people outside of it as well, I quite enjoyed my time interacting within the group while it lasted.

My engagement with Steem itself dropped off for a bit though due to life circumstances and I posted less but also engaged a little less with Asapers even when posting due to either limited time and not having time to do both engaging with other people's content and content creation, or not finding posts within an applicable time period to upvote and most recently I've looked again and it has shrunk a bit. I didn't actually see the time the project died as such. I did see less posts posted in the various channels at times though, suggesting either a decline or a slow week.

I think the self-promo part of the discord needs some posts put in there that would go in the "share others quality" because the posts in there are too old to benefit from being upvoted now so nobody can upvote and comment in order to share their content now either.

I don't really agree with the bidbots but I did like some of the the other non-paid bots like original works (I see zero issue with that one since anyone can call it and it rewards original content) but some of non-paid ones don't seem to work anymore (at least original works hasn't when I've tried later on compared to earlier in my time here). The paid bots aren't really something I agree with though as it makes the playing field uneven and means you can buy easier success (I mean, so does Steem Power since people can buy it, but SP is needed for how the system functions and bidbots aren't - and SP is a whole different kettle of fish and the way Steem works in general has pros and cons as does the way SP works within the system).
