The C50 Index will use the Ethereum blockchain technology as its backbone. Our developers could have made a new chain. However, the security issues arising from forming a new blockchain would have hampered eff orts to get The C50 Index underway. A trusted blockchain such as Ethereum with established protocols would better allow for future expansion and scalability without compromising security. However, it is not outside the realm of possibility for our team to develop our own blockchain in the future.
