As long as you have something that allows you to do what you want to do, do it. Eventually, it can generate a bit of money and then you can upgrade. I'm very patient when it comes to upgrading my things. I've been slowly but surely getting new equipment. And when I started learning to use Photoshop, I had the very first version of it. Now I have CS6 (the nest tier below the latest version, which is less expensive than paying every month). You can also find good quality stuff for a good bargain.
