I suggest visiting the Hive Board, formerly Steemitboard. There is the equivalent there too.

Basically, you get stats and rewards for various tiers, such as upvotes, upvoting, comments, posts. These give you points towards your reputation. As you interact, post, comment, and upvote more, your reputation goes up with it. You can also view this on https://steemd.com/ I don't know what the Hive equivalent is. It gives an overview of your reputation, where it's at. I'm at 67.7 right now.

Then for your upvote value, the same things that increase your rep will increase your upvote over time.
