This is a classic scene in Ason (downtown Kathmandu) every morning. A vendor is getting his store ready for business. In an average, it takes an hour to ‘open’ his shop. Ason, forever has been the most lucrative market for merchants. Back in the days, traders would bring in imports from Tibet for sale in Ason. Sugar, Spice and everything nice, this oldest market still remain as one of the busiest areas in Kathmandu.
