For our BIM Guide Steemit page, we will be covering topics that revolve around BIM, the technology behind it, and the new innovations that are developing around it.
We know for a fact that BIM (Building Information Modelling) is not a popular topic into the world of blockchain or in a decentralized platform like Steemit. Even so, we thought that there might be other users who are interested with the topic and might benefit with the information that we will share to the Steem community.
Now, let’s begin by covering a bit of an introduction about BIM and we’ll see how we will progress based on how our potential readers response about our posts.
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a digital representation of physical and functional characteristics of a facility. A BIM is a shared knowledge resource for information about a facility forming a reliable basis for decisions during its life-cycle; defined as existing from earliest conception to demolition.
BIM technology can be integrated to VR (Virtual Reality) technology which allows clients, designers, & the construction team to have a virtual tour of the 3D model before constructing the building. The simulation will provide all parties the much needed understanding about the design of the building.
