Claros Ancient City, center of prophecies /// Kehanetler merkezi Klaros Antik Kenti
Hello again all friends. These days, my days are a bit busy and I miss all the time that I can't allocate to this platform. Today, I would like to share with you about our ancient city tour, which I love to write about. Our ancient city today is the Ancient City of Klaros.
Herkese yeniden merhaba dostlar.
This place is not spread over a very large area like the ancient cities I visited before, but the excavations were still continuing during our visit, maybe other living places will be discovered here, which is very interesting for me. I couldn't help but wonder what could happen. This is an ancient city that sheds light on us from history in the middle of the green fields between the mountains and the hills. It was very well positioned among olive, tangerine and pomegranate fields. There was a security at the door, which was surrounded by wire fences. Entrance was free, we were both surprised and delighted. There was a parking area for those who came with their vehicles, so we parked our vehicle and started to explore the area. What we came across was a very well thought out flower pot. The difference of this flower pot from the others was that it was a wheelbarrow. 🙂
Many statues, busts, mausoleums, etc. It was excavated here. This place was one of the two important divination centers of the prophet God Apollo. Source
I was also excited that it was a prophecy center. What has been said about the future here? Or did people leave this place because of bad prophecies in later periods? Questions like these came to my mind.
We started to wander around the area after the Homer statue greeted us. The point that made me sad was that most of the works found here are imitations. Below these works was written where the originals were. As I continued, I noticed the miniature structure surrounded by glass. It was probably a miniature version of the temple of Artemis, which was here before. 🏛️ Because the sign was pointing there. There was water in some of the area. It was probably the water that came out after the excavation. There were turtles in the water. After watching the turtles for a minute or two, something caught my attention. A sundial. We went to him right away. I immediately checked this time with the watch on my wrist. Since I don't know how this clock is determined, I couldn't understand it much. 😊 Again, I felt like a leader who sat on the chair next to the clock and addressed the people. Finally, we realized that we were tired and it was time for us to return. We left with the happiness of recording another experience for us in the diary. Thank you for taking the time for me. I hope you like.
