Through this drawing, I intended to depict more than just a face in this drawing. My focus was on the expression, facial structure and the quiet confidence reflected in her gaze. I used line work and hatching to build depth, giving the portrait it's character and definition. A simple study, but one I genuinely enjoyed creating.
