Michigan is in deep right now. A 500 year rain event in the north of the lower peninsula breached two dams which put our friend @bozz near to having waterfront property. The automakers are trying to re-open. That industry provides so much of the backbone or our manufacturing that it's just critical.

Then there's the President. When he screws up he needs to vent his spleen on somebody and it seems to me that the Michigan Governor has put herself in the barrel. I'm guessing it's a lot more talk than action at this point. Trump REALLY needs Michigan in November so there is a pretty narrow edge to walk right there for both of them.

In the Friday PM news dump is Hertz bankruptcy. 500,000 cars dumped into the used car market? Probably a really good time to buy used is coming right up. Volume down 40%, supply up 100%? Should be some really attractive deals come out of that.
