I sometimes use a tarp as an auxiliary moisture deflection device. I'd have gone a little farther up where there's a level spot. I'm old so don't get up off the ground very well. I use a cot and I learned on my trip this summer that the cot wants to be pretty level. I'll write about that experience in my next post....
